Paul Wong, Yip Sai-wing to rock town
    2017-11-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Hong Kong singers Paul Wong and Yip Sai-wing, two former members of Beyond, will give a concert Saturday.

Yip was the drummer and co-founder of Beyond, formed with lead vocalist Wong Ka-kui. He is also a talent manager and co-founder of the management company, Tai-yeung Creating Art. In 2003, Beyond won the Best Original Film Song at the 23rd Annual Hong Kong Film Awards for “Vast Skies,” which was written by Yip and Wong Ka-keung.

Paul Wong was not only the lead guitarist of the rock band, but had also served as the songwriter and occasional lead vocalist. In addition, Wong launched his solo career in 1999, collaborating with a variety of artists as a producer as well as a session musician (guitar or vocals). After Beyond’s dissolution in 2005, Wong went on to work with his new band, Hann and the Postman, as a solo artist.
