Incheon friendship

INCHEON Port in South Korea has become Shenzhen’s 23rd most friendly port, according to an agreement signed with Shenzhen Port authority Wednesday.

Incheon Port is the second largest port in South Korea, following Busan Port. Its TEU throughput reached 2.68 million in 2016. The throughput between Shenzhen Port and Incheon Port reached 148,218 TEUs between January and September.

Illegal storage

NANSHA Police Station in Bao’an District arrested a man surnamed Wu who had illegally stored 3,953 kg of flammable and explosive chemicals in his shop near Shatou Industrial Park.

The chemicals have been relocated to a company for storage. If the products had caught fire, the whole building could have been flattened, according to police.

VR industry

THE number of enterprises engaged in the virtual reality industry in Shenzhen has reached 500, accounting for 50 percent of the country’s total, according to a news conference of the 2018 Asia VR & AR Expo. The expo will be held next year between April 3 and 5 in Guangzhou.

Metro project awarded

THE Metro Line 7 project, contracted by Power Construction Corp. of China, won the gold prize at the National Top Quality Engineering Project Awards for projects completed in 2016. This was the first Metro project in Guangdong to win the national award. The award, set up in 1981, is the highest honor in China for the engineering sector.
