The blind spot beneath the stairs,

The secret behind all affairs,

The corner of your mind,

We grew out of Santa and Fairies and Unicorn,

But fear of the dark was always reborn.

How will politics prosper and law and justice?

You may think nations were built under the light of heaven,

No, the symbol of peace may as well be a raven.

Without darkness all land will perish.

The world allows only a single sun,

But in darkness is where jobs get done.

And if you are still in doubt,

Without darkness all light will burn out.
