Seven students from Shenzhen Foreign Languages School have received a notification from China School Sports Federation recently, which informs them that they have been selected for the Chinese fencing delegation to attend the upcoming 2018 World Middle School Games in Morocco. The 2018 World Middle School Games will be held in Marrakech, Morocco from May 1 to 10 this year, and will include 10 events such as track and field, swimming, aerobics and fencing. Due to the outstanding performance of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School’s fencing team, the China School Sports Federation asked them to form a fencing delegation to participate in épée fencing, foil fencing and saber fencing in the 2018 games. The school has selected an elite fencing student-swordsmen to travel to Morocco with Mei Yu, director of the school’s students’ affairs office, as the coach, and seven student-athletes, including Song Wenxu, Wang Ying, Zhao Houwei, Qin Jiayan, Zhang Zhengxi, Luo Weiwei and Hu Yuer. Three students including Zhao Ruidan of Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language School, Xiao Ruibo of International School of Nanshan Shenzhen, and Zhang Shengya of Shenzhen No. 2 Experimental School will also be part of the fencing delegation to attend the 2018 games.
