Robotic suitcases that follow you wherever you go are taking over Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year. Chinese firm 90Fun has unveiled its Puppy 1 suitcase equipped with a custom auto-following chip and Segway’s self-balancing technology to prevent falling over. In a demonstration at CES, 90Fun showed off how it can drive around either controlled by a human, or all by itself. Segway Ninebot also displayed its adorable Loomo robot and the autonomous delivery version, Loomo Go, which appears to be a cross between a rideable hoverboard and a friendly robotic companion. Puppy is a radio frequency remote controlled auto-following suitcase with built-in positioning radar. Users can command its movement using a joystick, or summon it within 20 meters to have it drive to you by itself. It has bi-directional* intelligence, meaning it can maneuver both forwards and backwards. Puppy 1 is equipped with multiple assistant modes for different types of travel. It can climb a slope of up to 30 degrees, and traverse* a bumpy road. The auto-following suitcase drives at about 5 kilometers per hour but it could go as fast as 18km/h. (SD-Agencies) |
