UABB in Nanshan

The 2017 Bi-City Biennale of UrbanismArchitecture (UABB) includes an exhibition that fuses architecture, art and design. The UABB represents a call for the development of a diverse, inclusive and vigorous urban ecosystem that not only shows reverence to humanity and history, but also promotes the coexistence of urban culture, society and public spaces.

Dates: Until March 17

New media art

International artists are exhibiting their videos, installations and graphic art at the 2017 OCT-LOFT Creative Festival’s exhibition “The Imagined Future Is Not the Future,” visualizing our future and showing their concern for this technologically advancing world.

Dates: Until March 8

Venues: C2, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区C2)

Photos of Xinjiang

Li Xinzhao is exhibiting her photos featuring the people and landscape of Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Taxkorgan County is located in the eastern part of the Pamir Plateau. The photographer said that although the county is cold, remote and impoverished, she was impressed by the enthusiastic and friendly people there.

Dates: Until March 10

Museum exhibitions

“Exported Porcelains From the Ming and Qing Dynasties” (until April 30) includes a wide range of porcelains that were made exclusively for export to Europe and North America between the 16th and 20th centuries. “Bronze Weapons of Ancient Yue” (until next year) features more than 400 bronze weapon relics.
