Shenzhen Fashion Week coming to town
    2018-03-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

More than 200 international and local brands are gathering at the annual fashion feast in Shenzhen from March 13 to 19.

Hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, organized by the Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality and held by the Shenzhen Garment Industry Association, Shenzhen Fashion Week serves as the perfect passage for Chinese clothing brands wanting to get a glimpse of the global stage and for international designers wanting to enter the Chinese market.

In accordance with their positioning angle “International Platform, Original Design, Market Connection, and Fashion Carnival,” the A/W2018 Shenzhen Fashion Week highlights commercial brands and independent designers who present cutting-edge designs and a strong market connection. By hosting an inclusive scope of presenters (both independent and commercial), commercializing the designs, and drawing the attention of fashion insiders to end-consumers, the event aims to deliver a full array of fashionable lifestyle concepts, create unique brand experiences, and discover and support emerging designers.

It will take place at Shenzhen’s new cultural landmark, the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, and feature three brand-new runways constructed in accordance with international standards. There will be over 200 brands and designers from more than 10 countries staging nearly 90 shows. To match the theme of “Bring fashion to art,” international artists will hold multiple showroom exhibitions and fashion events. Shenzhen Fashion Week is working to link professional fashion launches with a mature industry chain, achieve synergy between various sections of the fashion industry, and pool resources to forge a fashion ecosystem.
