Bernd Schuster has been appointed head coach of Dalian Yifang, replacing Ma Lin at the helm of last season’s second division champion, the Chinese Super League (CSL) club announced Monday.

The 58-year-old German, who has not coached since leaving his role at the helm of Malaga at the end of the 2014 season, takes charge of a team that is now at the bottom of the standings.
