Driver held after road rage incident
    2018-03-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A MOTORIST who frequently changed vehicle lanes and intentionally slowed down to insult another driver on an expressway has been detained for 10 days.

On March 25, the motorist surnamed Li drove his car at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in the tunnel on Shenyan No. 2 Passage. He was honked and blinked at from behind by a vehicle registered in Huizhou City.

Li slowed his car down to 30 kilometers per hour purportedly for fear that his dog in back seat was getting irritated. However, the driver behind him urged Li to drive faster by flashing his lights, which irritated Li.

After they got out of the tunnel, Li frequently changed lanes to block the cars behind him. For their own safety, the drivers behind Li’s car slowed down until they got to Luosha Road.

Li started yelling when the car drove up beside him, and insulted the driver of the Huizhou car. The passenger in the Huizhou car, who was using an app-based vehicle, videotaped Li and reported the incident to the police.

Li was detained  and fined 300 yuan (US$47.66) for illegally changing lanes.
