
Taiwanese pop singer Terry Lin will give his “ONEtake 2.0” concert at Shenzhen Bay in July. Lin has a large fan base in Chinese-speaking communities and is known for his clear and elegant voice and for utilizing resonance in a mix of a head voice and falsetto, in effect effortlessly moving to higher ranges. Lin started his musical career with the pop duo Ukulele with singer Lee Chi in university in 1991 and gained attention in China with “Apologize” in 1992. Lin went solo in 1995 and signed to Sony Music before setting up his own agency in 1997. He has covered songs by Steel Heart, Celine Dion, Queen, Air Supply, Vitas and Simon and Garfunkel, and has cited Air Supply as one of his biggest influences. In February 2013, he joined the first season of Hunan Satellite TV’s “I Am a Singer” and was the runner-up.
