OVER 50 charity organizations will offer nearly 300 job vacancies to jobseekers during a job fair to be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Saturday, the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday.
According to the report, Shenzhen is known in the country as a city of philanthropy and there are over 2,000 non-governmental charity organizations based in Shenzhen. The city’s residents donate over 2 billion yuan (US$317.46 million) to charity each year on average, meaning each resident donates 700 yuan each year on average. Currently, there are nearly 30,000 people working for Shenzhen’s charity organizations.
As demand for well-educated and high-level professional talents among charity organizations is increasing, the Shenzhen Women and Children’s Development Foundation and zhaopin.com jointly launched a project to recruit talents for charity organizations.
Over 50 charity organizations, mostly from Shenzhen, including Shenzhen Women and Children’s Development Foundation and Shenzhen Blue Ocean Conservation Association, will attend the job fair organized by the foundation and zhaopin.com on Saturday. They will offer high paying jobs, with annual salaries ranging between 100,000 and 200,000 yuan.
