Accident

ACTOR Will Ferrell was unhurt in a car accident Thursday night in California that left two others injured, according to his representatives.

The accident happened when Ferrell traveled back to Los Angeles after hosting a voter registration event in San Diego. Ferrell’s vehicle was struck when another car veered into its lane. Ferrell’s SUV then struck the center divider median and overturned.

Ferrell and another passenger were “unhurt” and released from an Orange County hospital. Ferrell’s longtime driver Mark Thompson and his another passenger identified as Carolina Barlow remain hospitalized in stable condition.

New cast

“DANCING With the Stars,” in keeping with tradition, revealed its celebrity dancers for its forthcoming edition during a segment Friday on “Good Morning America.”

Set to join ABC’s all-athletes edition are Olympic bronze medal figure skater Adam Rippon, “I, Tonya” subject Tonya Harding and former Lakers All-Star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Retrial

BILL COSBY’S chief accuser took the witness stand Friday at his sexual assault retrial, declaring for a second jury that he knocked her out with three blue pills and then sexually assaulted her at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

Her harrowing account of sexual molestation was remarkably similar to the one she gave at last year’s trial. Cosby has said he gave Constand the cold medicine Benadryl and that she consented to a sexual encounter. She was expected to face intense cross-examination by a defense team intent on portraying her as a “con artist” who framed him for money.

Musical

EMMA THOMPSON is set to direct the stage musical for “Nanny McPhee” after starring as the titular nanny in the 2005 movie.

But the “Sense and Sensibility” star is not expected to star in the film-to-stage adaptation. Thompson is writing the lyrics for the stage version, with singer-songwriter Gary Clark composing the music.

Thompson penned the screenplay for the original “Nanny McPhee” movie, which portrayed a nanny using magic to rein in seven misbehaving children in her care. Thompson also co-wrote the sequel “Nanny McPhee Returns” with Christianna Brand, on whose “Nurse Matilda” book series the original movie was based.
