Shenzhen Museum

Vibrant portrait, landscape and still life paintings created by legendary Chinese artist Pan Yuliang (1895-1977) are on display until July 22, giving insight into the strong woman’s dreams, longings and unique artistic outlook. Meanwhile, finely printed and revised ancient books dating back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279) are also on display until June 10.

‘Overall Situation’

Chinese artists Chen Tong and Tian Hui are exhibiting their works at the “Overall Situation” exhibition. The artists’ progressive creative practices address specific socio-economic conditions in China and the West.

Dates: Until Aug. 10

Venue: Boxes Art Space, Building 11, Lan Ying Fang, O’Plaza, OCT Harbor, 8 Baishi Road, Nanshan District (南山区白石路8号欢乐海岸购物中心蓝楹坊11栋盒子空间)

‘Beyond the Scenery’

The “Beyond the Scenery” public art exhibition is showcasing eight art installations at various locations in OCT-LOFT. According to curator Shen Ruijun, the exhibition borrows ideas from traditional Chinese gardening culture to explore possibilities in bridging modern life and Chinese cultural values in OCT-LOFT.

Dates: Until Aug. 5

Venue: OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园)

Tan Huamu’s paintings

“The South: Tan Huamu’s Pictorial Diary” traces the exceptional career of Guangdong painter Tan Huamu (1896-1976). His paintings express the dynamic interaction between nature, humans and society.

Venue: He Xiangning Art Museum, Overseas Chinese Town, 9013 Shennan Boulevard, Nanshan District (南山区深南大道9013号华侨城何香凝美术馆)
