DURING the 14th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) held from May 10 to 14, the Bao’an Store of Shenzhen Book City, one of the many subvenues of the fair, organized a wide range of culture, art and technology-themed events for residents. During the launch ceremony at the subvenue May 11, the IP image of the Bao’an Store of Shenzhen Book City was released, bringing the store closer to residents’ lives and leaving a deep impression on them. In a forum themed “Chinese Original Picture Books Going Global,” guests including Yin Changlong, Party chief and general manager of Shenzhen Publication and Distribution Group, Chinese-German painter Wang Yuxi and Li Di, editor-in-chief of China Original Children’s Picture Books Base, exchanged views on the topic. One of the highlights of the subvenue was a picture book exhibition for kids held at the Art Gallery of the book store. The Bao’an Store of Shenzhen Book City also promoted parent-child reading to shorten the distance between residents and culture. The book store organized a total of 10 events during the ICIF, including one launch ceremony, two exhibitions and seven dynamic activities, offering residents a feast of culture, art and technology.
