SHENZHEN will add two more special tourism trains and one charter flight to Kashgar, Xinjiang, this year in order to offer tourists more convenient transportation choices for visiting Kashgar, information disclosed at the Kashgar Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference held in Shenzhen on May 12 said. The conference was attended by more than 200 people including representatives of tour guide association and tourist agencies in Kashgar, leaders of the Kashgar Headquarters of Shenzhen-Xinjiang Pairing-Assistance and business representatives. In the welcoming speech, Yang Yongqun, deputy head of Shenzhen Culture, Sports and Tourism Administration, said that Shenzhen, as a friendship city assisting Kashgar, has always attached great importance to the tourism development of Kashgar. In the future the two cities will continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation in tourism and draw upon each other’s strengths to drive better and faster economic growth in Kashgar. Song Shu’an, a member of the Standing Committee of Kashgar Municipal Committee of the CPC and vice mayor of Kashgar, said in his speech that since Shenzhen began offering aid and assistance to Kashgar and Tajik Autonomous County of Taxkorgan eight years ago, the city has made great efforts to offer support to Xinjiang in industrial development, education, talent cultivation and targeted poverty alleviation. In particular, Shenzhen has always created new ways of offering assistance to Xinjiang in tourism. At the conference, Song Pei, an official with Kashgar Headquarters of Shenzhen-Xinjiang Pairing-Assistance briefed on the special tourism trains and charter flight. Located in the center of the core area of Silk Road Economic Belt and at the convergence point of eight countries, Kashgar has a vast territory and boasts abundant tourism resources. (Yang Mei) |
