The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival will be held this weekend at the Central Harbourfront and Victoria Harbour. The CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races will host over 4,500 athletes from all over the world to compete.

The festival, organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, is commonly associated with sunny, energy-filled summer days and adrenaline-pumped dragon boat races. As a global metropolis, Hong Kong is well-known for transforming Chinese and Western festivals into exhilarating and lively events, and the festival is certainly no exception. With the dragon boat races and a series of other celebrations, it is a great time for visitors to go to Hong Kong to experience the city’s diverse cultural and festive appeal.

In addition to the thunderous boom of beating drums and splashing waves in the dragon boat races, there will be live music performances in the evenings to keep visitors entertained. Food trucks will serve local delicacies and refreshing drinks and special offers will be introduced at the event.

Dragon boat races: June 22, noon to 6 p.m.; June 23, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; June 24,

8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Live music: June 23-24, 6-8 p.m.
