You don’t have to regret not going to Russia to enjoy the World Cup because a top soccer match will soon come to Shenzhen, where Neymar da Silva Santos Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao and Danijel Subasic will play.

Trophee des Champions, (Champions’ Trophy), a French association soccer trophy contested in an annual match between the champions of Ligue 1 and the winners of the Coupe de France, will be held in Shenzhen next month.

Since 2009, Trophee des Champions has been played outside France and it has since been held in Tunisia, Morocco, the United States and Gabon.

The Shenzhen match will be held between the star-studded Paris Saint-Germain team and the talented Monaco team.

Paris Saint-Germain is a professional soccer club based in Paris. Founded in 1970, the team established itself as a major force in France and one of the major forces of the European soccer in the recent years. The club further built upon this success by signing world-record transfer Neymar and prodigy Mbappe in 2017. Together with Uruguayan striker Cavani, they formed a fearsome offensive trio and claimed the team’s third domestic quadruple in four seasons.

At the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Mbappe became the youngest French player to score at a World Cup, and became the second teenager, after Pele, to score in a World Cup final. Mbappe finished as the joint second-highest goal-scorer and received the Best Young Player Award for his performances.

Monaco is one of the most successful clubs in French soccer, having won eight league titles and five Coupe de France trophies. The club has also competed in European matches, having been runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1992 and the UEFA Champions League in 2004.

Falcao is a Colombian striker for Monaco and the Colombia national team. He missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup due to injury, but made his World Cup debut at the 2018 tournament in Russia.

Subasic is a Croatian player who plays as a goalkeeper for Monaco and the Croatia national team. He was part of their squads for two FIFA World Cups and many UEFA European Championships. He was a member of the Croatian squad which ended as runners-up to France in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
