Metro project

NINETY percent of the engineering work for Phase III Metro projects in the city will be completed before the end of the year, Shenzhen Metro Group said Wednesday.

A total of 14 Metro projects and lines running 273 kilometers are currently under construction.

More private schools

THE Baihe education group, one of the largest private education groups in Shenzhen, is expected to build another 60 schools in Longgang District, according to a person in charge of the group.

The education group now owns several schools in Longgang and has built four new education institutions that will be put into use this year, including two kindergartens and two primary schools.

Fake invoices

SHENZHEN’S economic crime investigation department recently busted four criminal rings and arrested 11 people who had written out VAT invoices involving 4.9 billion yuan to make profits through shell companies under their control.

A total of 520 taxation certificates, 290 invoice books, 45,150 copies of blank invoices and 2,000 seals, were seized in the action.

The rings would buy shell companies from illegal agents and get tax invoices that they would sell to their clients for a profit.

Since January 2017, the criminal rings had issued 280,000 copies of invoices involving 4.9 billion yuan.

A total of 16 dens, including two housing agents, five financial consulting companies, and two Internet marketing companies, were busted and 500,000 pieces of personal information used in the crimes were seized.
