Qatari entrepreneurs

A GROUP of Qatari entrepreneurs will visit Shenzhen and Guangzhou to explore opportunities to develop their business, Qatar-based newspaper Gulf Times reported Sunday. The visit is scheduled to last for a week until Sunday.

“Today, we are preparing for the first-of-its-kind journey in line with the strategy and objectives of the center to support entrepreneurs and open their horizons in various sectors and industries,” said Reem al-Suwaidi, general manager of the Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development.

Suwaidi added that the visit aims to connect the Qatari businessmen and traders with the leading factories in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

Unaccompanied kids

THE ground services of airlines in Shenzhen handled around 500 unaccompanied children a day during the summer transport season, sources from Shenzhen International Airport said.

As airlines have set limits on the number of unaccompanied passengers on flights, the airport reminds parents to apply for the service in advance and complete the procedures at the airport. The procedure is generally not available within 60 minutes of the flight.

Noon service

THE administrative service halls of the Shenzhen government in Nanshan and Longgang districts shifted their employees in two rotations to remain open from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. starting July 30 so residents can process applications.

Other service halls in Luohu, Bao’an and Yantian districts have also adopted flexible service hours during noon hours for visiting individuals.

The move is to further improve the city’s business environment, as many individual applicants have no time to process their applications during working hours.

Land plan

THE city will reserve at least 11 square kilometers of land parcels in 2018, according to the annual plan of the city’s urban planning, land and resources commission.

According to the city’s overall development plan, the land designated for construction takes up 60 percent of the total reserved land, and among the land for construction, at least 30 percent will be used for industrial development.

Forced transfer

WITH the seller refusing to live up to his obligations, the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court executed a transfer of ownership for two apartments in a contract.

The buyers, surnamed Li and An, signed a contract with the proprietor, surnamed Hu, in March 2015, after reaching an agreement to buy the two apartments for 2.64 million yuan (US$386,800).

However, as the price was increasing, the homeowner neglected to perform any of his contractual obligations. Based on the Shenzhen Arbitration Commission’s verdict, the two apartments were forcibly transferred to the buyers by the intermediate court.
