Fruitful results gained at Bao’an industry expo
    2018-08-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 2018 Bao’an Industry Development Expo showcasing all of the key industries in Bao’an District rolled up its curtain with fruitful results for both local and international firms at the end of last month.

A total of 408 leading companies and high-end manufacturers from Bao’an participated in the event. More than 230,000 visits were recorded. Most importantly, 31 contracts for major projects totaling more than 76 billion yuan (US$11.04 billion) were signed.

Some of the main signing parties included Apostle from Silicon Valley, S.F. Holdings and Yunzhou Co. The contracts covered the areas of health, the Internet and intelligent manufacturing, among others.

Bao’an-based Shenzhen Silver Basis Technology Co. is one of the exhibitors that benefited from joining the expo, showcasing its latest large-scale precision molds, automotive parts, smart manufacturing service, hot runner control systems and other industrial designs.

A person in charge of the exhibiting area of the company said that the expo had provided a valuable platform for the firm to connect with possible partners for future cooperation.

It was the second time for Center Testing International Group Co. (CTI), a comprehensive third-party agency specializing in testing, calibration, inspection, certification and technical services, to take part in the expo.

The company said it had communicated with an array of exhibitors and displayed their testing devices of high-technology during the expo. Satisfying results were gained through the three-day event, a company executive said.

The exhibiting area on the artificial intelligence (AI) industry was one of the highlights at the expo, and a considerable number of AI companies brought along their upscale technologies.

A staffer from a company of AI technology named New Wisdom said that they received around 500 visitors for consulting during the expo and traded dozens of education robots for children. The company had also reached cooperation intentions with more than 10 enterprises on the spot.

Local firms were not the only beneficiaries of the expo as many overseas purchasers also found business opportunities there. A special business-matching section was set up at Hall 1 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center for foreign purchasers to match with their possible partners.

Purchasers from 16 countries and areas gathered at the matching section to talk with Bao’an enterprises. Their main focuses included robots, smart furniture, and intelligent electronics among other innovative products.

Gumennikov Artem from Mashina.online, a Russian firm, said his purpose for joining the expo was to bring some intelligent products produced in China back to his country and recommend them to local consumers. (Cindy Zhang)
