Text reports to police

POLICE reminded residents that they can report a crime or imminent danger by sending a text to 12110755, as concerns over safety have become a hot topic since a girl was murdered by a Didi Hitch driver in Zhejiang.

While residents may call 110 to make a report to police, sending a text message with the necessary details may be a better option if they are being coerced or in other circumstances where making a phone call is not feasible.

Heavy rain expected

A ROUND of heavy rain, and even some torrential rain, will affect the city between today and Thursday, sources from Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said.
