Typhoon on the way

TYPHOON Mangkhut, the 22nd typhoon of the year, will bring rain to the city in the coming week as it moves northwesterly.

It was in the central area of the northwestern Pacific yesterday, 4,000 kilometers away from the city.

Moving at 30 kilometers per hour, its force is expected to strengthen along the way.

The city is expected to experience thunder, rain and occasional heavy rain tomorrow and Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday, haze and afternoon showers are expected again.

Fee overcharging

A WOMAN was charged 370 yuan (US$54) to carpool for 2.6 kilometers via the Didi service.

After the woman surnamed Liu got out of the car Sept. 2, the Didi driver failed to end the trip, causing the overcharging.

The service platform, after receiving the complaint from Liu, canceled the account of the driver and deducted the overcharged fees from the driver for Liu.
