Telecom frauds THE city’s anti-telecommunication fraud center froze 308 million yuan (US$44.97 million) in 10,377 bank accounts that were suspected of being used by fraudsters in the first eight months of the year. Statistics in August showed people born in the 1990s are most vulnerable to phone and website scams. Among 2,425 victims, 58 percent were born in the 1990s.
