Volunteers enlighten rural kids
    2018-09-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A group of young volunteers from all around China gathered at Longgui Primary School in Longshan County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to support local students’ education. The volunteers were organized by the Overseas Chinese Students Children’s Fund (Ofund), a nonprofit organization that was started by Luo Haiyue while he was studying at the London School of Economics and Political Science back in 2007. Ofund has been raising funds and providing educational facilities for students in China’s rural areas over the past 11 years. With most of the volunteers being current or returned overseas Chinese students, Ofund advocates the cohorts of overseas Chinese students to aid children living at remote villages in China.
