A section of the Dashahe Ecological Corridor, which runs 2 kilometers from Shennan Boulevard and the mouth of the Dashahe River to Shenzhen Bay, was opened to the public Sept. 8, providing a leisure and relaxation option for residents. The ecological corridor along the river was designed a public park. Most of the 130,000-square-meter area is covered by a greenery belt with flowers and plants. Volunteer service stations, free Wi-Fi, chairs, reading rooms and nursing rooms have been installed or built along the corridor. The corridor runs about 13.7 kilometers along the Dashahe River from its origin at Changlingpi Reservoir. The whole project is expected to be finished before the end of 2019. (Han Ximin) |
