Shirtless man stands off against hurricane
    2018-09-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A U.S. man, who infamously stared down Hurricanes Matthew and Irma with nothing but his underwear and an American flag, has done so again for the third time.

Video shows Lane Pittman and his flowing ginger mane posing valiantly in Mrtyle Beach, South Carolina, on Friday as Florence’s winds blow around him.

On Facebook he said: “YOU ARE WEAK AND SMALL FLORENCE!!!!! FLORIDA MAN IS HERE!!!!!”

Rock music plays in the background of the video, that has more than 119,000 views, as Pittman waves the flag back and forth. Awnings rip off their hinges and blow in the disastrous winds.

The man actually launched a GoFundMe so that he could travel to South Carolina for his stunt.

“Pay for my gas/coffee and I’ll go fight Hurricane Florence. MERICA BABY!!! We stick together,” he said in the description for the fundraiser.

Pittman secured his funding in less than an hour and the GoFundMe has raised US$607. The initial amount sought was US$150.

The daredevil first made headlines in 2015 when he was charged with breaching the peace after playing a raucous rendition of the “National Anthem” before transitioning into a version of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold” on July 4 on a Florida street.

He would hit viral fame twice after with his goofy stunts for the previous two years. (SD-Agencies)
