Subdistrict promotes healthy lifestyle
    2018-10-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FUTIAN Subdistrict Office held an event at Shenzhen Talent Park in Nanshan District on Sept. 7 to promote a healthy lifestyle among residents in the Futian CBD, many of them white-collar workers suffering from a heavy workload.

The event, which coincided with China’s 12th People’s Healthy Lifestyle Action Day, urged people to reduce the intake of salt, sugar and oil, and maintain an appropriate weight and oral and bone health.

The subdistrict office said Futian Subdistrict is located in Shenzhen’s CBD and is home to 26 buildings where companies in a single building pay at least 100 million yuan (US$14.45 million) in taxes a year. Fu’an Community alone is home to 30 high-rise buildings where high-level professionals work. The event was aimed at better serving talents working in the subdistrict under the backdrop of the Healthy China strategy.

The event’s center-piece was a walk around the central lake in Talent Park. More than 100 people from companies in the subdistrict took a stroll around the lake while reading tips on a healthy lifestyle on the boards posted along the route. These tips included knowledge on the necessity of a healthy diet in order to prevent high blood pressure and diabetes.
