Beijing enveloped in smog

A citizen walks in smog with a mask on her face in Beijing yesterday. The air quality index (AQI) of the capital exceeded 218 at around 9 p.m. Sunday evening, according to the data from the Beijing Environmental Monitoring Center, which is classed as heavily polluted, and some monitoring stations’ AQI registered over 260. The center said the air quality will be better today.
