SIX Shenzhen entrepreneurs have made it on to a list that honors 100 outstanding businessmen nationwide for their contributions to the country’s economic development over the past four decades since China’s reform and opening up, the Shenzhen Economic Daily reported. The six local entrepreneurs are Ren Zhengfei, founder of telecom manufacturer Huawei Technology, Xu Jiayin, chairman of the board of Evergrande Group, Pony Ma, chairman of the board and CEO of Internet giant Tencent, Wang Chuanfu, chairman of the board of new-energy carmaker BYD, Li Dongsheng, chairman of the board and CEO of TCL Group, and Chen Zhilie, chairman of the board of EVOC Intelligent. The list was unveiled at a press conference organized by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in Beijing on Wednesday. The 100 outstanding entrepreneurs were selected by the federation and the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee. The other entrepreneurs on the list include Jack Ma from Alibaba Group, Yu Minhong from XDF.CN and Liu Chuanzhi from computer-maker Lenovo China. (Zhang Qian) |
