SZU No. 2 Affiliated Hospital inaugurated
    2018-10-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

BAO’AN People’s Hospital officially became affiliated with Shenzhen University at a plaque-unveiling ceremony Oct. 8.

The renaming to Shenzhen University No. 2 Affiliated Hospital is a fruit of the cooperation between the university and Bao’an People’s Hospital Group.

The hospital aims to become a first-class regional general hospital and provide quality medical services to local residents.

The Bao’an District Government and Shenzhen University inked an agreement in January to set up the university’s medical school in the district and Shenzhen University No. 2 Affiliated Hospital, marking a new start for university-hospital cooperation in talent cultivation, discipline development, scientific research and resource sharing.

According to the agreement, the medical school and the hospital will focus on clinical research, make full use of their respective resources, and provide more convenient, improved and higher-level medical services to residents.

Du Hongbin, vice president of Shenzhen University, said the university’s medical school and the affiliated hospital will play an important role in establishing the education system of new medical science, creating training modes for high-end professionals and improving the integration of medical science, education and research.

Zhou Xueliang, vice head of Bao’an, said the district will continue to increase its contributions to the improvement of quality medical services in an effort to become a regional medical and health center in the western part of Shenzhen serving both Guangzhou and Shenzhen residents.

A time-honored teaching hospital for Guangdong’s medical colleges and universities, Bao’an People’s Hospital has earned fame for nurturing medical care specialists.
