Facial-ID homes

THE government rental apartments in Futian District have adopted facial-recognition technologies at the entrances of the apartment buildings to prevent the abuse of government-subsidized homes. The doors at the entrances will automatically open only when the facial information of a tenant matches with the data registered with the housing authority of Futian. The facial-recognition system can help eliminate subcontracting and sub-leasing.

Light show schedule

THE urban administration has advanced the schedule of the light show at Futian CBD by 30 minutes to 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. each Friday, Saturday and public holiday. The two rounds of the light show from Sunday through Thursday start at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The schedule of the Nanshan light show is the same as Futian. The new schedule will run until the end of December.

Parking spaces

FORTY-FOUR roadside parking spaces on Shangbao Road in Futian District will be suspended from use due to a sewage pipeline project being carried out by Shenzhen Water Group, according to the operator of the roadside parking spaces. The suspension will last until April 30.
