Garbage classification enters households

SHATOU Subdistrict equipped nearly 1,200 households in Metro Talent Apartments and Quanhai Garden with classified household dustbins on Oct. 16, aiming to put into practice garbage classification right from the source.

An official from the environment department of the subdistrict explained that residents need to separate kitchen rubbish from other recyclables and dispose of them strictly according to their garbage classifications.

Sports fun at your doorstep

TWO fun sporting events were held in Baishaling Community Park in Yuanling Subdistrict and the plaza of Lianhuayicun in Huafu Subdistrict on Oct. 21, attracting 1,500 people to participate.

The games were co-organized by the Publicity Department of Futian District Committee of the CPC and the subdistrict offices in the district. They form an important part of the series of events under the district’s fitness-for-all program. More fun sporting events will be held in the following month.
