FROM now until Nov. 24, a variety of 23 public benefit cultural events will be available for residents during the 5th Futian District Theme Museum Art Festival. The art festival kicked off at the Shenzhen Concert Hall on Oct. 11 with a concert by Futian Symphony Orchestra.

Residents will be able to enjoy a wide range of shows including piano recitals, Huangmei opera, poem recitations and cross-talk shows held at Shenzhen Concert Hall, Futian Auditorium, Shenzhen Book City and Futian Cultural House.

One of the highlights of the festival’s opening concert was “Yellow River Concerto,” an adaption from Xian Xinghai’s “Yellow River Cantata.”

Residents can get free tickets to the 23 shows by following the official WeChat account of the Futian Cultural and Sports Center (WeChat ID: ftwtzx).

The art festival was hosted by the Center for Public Cultural and Sports Development of Futian District. Running into its 4th edition, the festival has provided a total of 237 high-end shows to more than 200,000 residents.
