On August 12, the Shenzhen Family Doctor Association was founded after the idea and service specifications were introduced to Shenzhen from overseas. Now, the city has a new plan for the family doctor service.

As the home of all family doctors, the association will be a new platform for family doctor services nationwide. People from all walks of life have the chance to join and construct a public hygiene platform, coordinate social resources in all directions and get service from the family doctors. Then, people’s health will be taken care of not only by the medical organization, but also by a transboundary team.

Many people have had this experience: They feel sick at midnight, but they don’t know if they should go to a hospital. If they go, it might take them a long time, but if they don’t go, they will be worried about feeling worse and the bad effects on their bodies, especially for children and the old people.

After the family doctor association is established, it will solve this problem. When residents are sick, they can just call the association for help. Then, the platform will connect them to a professional doctor. Finally, the doctor will assess the patient’s status and give some suitable suggestions after making an analysis.

The association provides support for training doctors, answers questions, and offers some methods of treatment and medical skills for every family doctor. Additionally, people who devote themselves to the development of the family doctor service can use the public hygiene platform. At present, the family doctor platform is still under construction, but hopefully it will start operation by the end of this year.
