Parents of boy who stabbed debt collectors sentenced
    2018-11-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

YU XIMING was sentenced for four years and Su Yinxia for three years for illegal fundsraising, and the two were also fined 150,000 yuan (US$21,586) and 80,000 yuan separately by Gaotang County court of Shandong Province yesterday.

Yu and Su are the parents of Yu Huan, 23, who was sentenced by the Shandong Provincial High People’s Court for five years in June last year, a sentence that was reduced from a life term.

Yu Huan’s case caught public attention after he stabbed four debt collectors with a knife in April 2016 when one of the collectors insulted Su by exposing his body to her. One of the collectors later died.

Wu Xuezhan, a former gang leader, was sentenced to 25 years by a Shandong court in May on multiple charges including masterminding gang crimes, illegal detention and intentional injury.

Wu, 35, had used the gang members — some of whom were employees at his real estate offices in Guanxian County — to carry out such crimes as using violence to collect debts and illegal detention, according to the court.
