Our teacher Rose gave us a lesson about her interesting experiences in Australia and some achievements at work this week. She met a lot of difficulties and setbacks, but she never gave up.

From Rose, we learned that Liu Daoyi, the chief editor of the Senior High School English textbooks of the People’s Education Press, is a very kind mentor to her. Sending English emails with the PPTs of her lessons to Liu was the way Rose learned and got Liu’s help and guidance. Through her hard work and perseverance, Rose had finally succeeded in doing her research projects and became a teacher trainer successfully.

Rose also shared the trouble she had while learning how to do a research project. First, she attended the 8th Asia TEFL Conference where she attended many presentations and met a lot of experts in teaching. Each presentation was just 30 minutes and she attended one after another without any rest because she wanted to learn as much as possible. After a busy day, she reviewed her notes in the evening instead of having a rest. Working so hard helped her finish her research projects well and gain great achievements.

At the end of class, Rose introduced some of her colleagues who were former classmates. They were all preeminent.

After this class, I comprehended the following. If we want to be successful, we must stand with those who are successful. Moreover, it is important for us to keep learning. To be successful, one must rely on accumulated experience and constant testing, which can’t be accomplished in one stroke. Instead, just keep going forward, and then you will find that all the effort you have taken has become worthwhile.
