Unlicensed factory closed
    2018-12-07  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A FACTORY suspected of making counterfeit brand-name jewelry was closed down by police recently in a community in Nanwan Subdistrict, Longgang District, sznews.com reported Thursday.

On Tuesday morning, a community staffer found some finished luxury brand products that were being produced in a rented apartment during a daily inspection. The staffer filed a report with the police.

At noon, police raided the factory and found many other unfinished products labeled with brand logos like Chanel, Cartier, Givenchy and Piaget. The jewelry was estimated to be worth about 200,000 yuan (US$29,041). The person responsible for the factory failed to provide any legal paperwork to the police.

The fake jewelry has been seized by the police authority. (Wang Jingli)
