FUTIAN District is praised in a circular issued by the State Council for implementing intelligent city strategies and enhancing innovation capabilities to improve administrative efficiency by creating an innovative ecosystem.

This is the third time that Futian has been commended this year by the State Council since it was praised in another two circulars released April 27 and May 3.

Futian has adopted intelligent city construction as a way to streamline administrative procedures and optimize services.

The district has developed more than 100 application systems based on the Futian Intelligent City Commanding Center system and five platforms. The system helps the government make decisions scientifically and improves public service efficiency.

The system helped reduce approval times by 30 percent and save 195 working days on average.

Additionally, the district has utilized big data to improve governance. Relying on the Smart City Commanding Center system, the self-developed system of all 42 functional departments in the district have realized interconnectivity, integrating and sharing more than 700 million pieces of data.

Futian has also developed the country’s first economic monitoring system, integrating functions such as monitoring, early warning, analysis and visualization. The system monitors nearly 90,000 enterprises and collects more than 700,000 pieces of enterprise data for real-time analysis to predict future developmental trends.

The intelligent court system developed by the district provides a one-stop service for solving financial disputes, which greatly enhances the efficiency of case handling.(Zhang Yu)
