I have explored the secret to success. I got good grades in the beginning when l entered the junior high school. Then, words of genius and intelligence came to me like waves coming from the ocean. However, though none of these high scores had been achieved through hard work, I was still proud of myself.

By the third school year, I was completely frustrated by my poor grades. People said, “Oh my god, what has happened to this genius? How could she be so bad in her studies now?” For a whole month, the air was filled with decadence and failure. It seemed that I was beaten by life and studies, and I actually was.

I began to think about life in order to find out the causes of the problem. It is not only a matter of scores, but also behaviors and habits.

I observed the excellent students around me for a while and found that they had good behaviors and good study habits. First, they finished their homework quickly and perfectly.

Second, they spent most of their time on extra studies. What impressed me most was their positive attitude and lack of procrastination, which I did not follow.

Then, I had my understanding about true success. Compared with them, I was lazy. After I made up my mind to do something, I didn’t take action, and then I achieved nothing in the end, which owed to my laziness.

Moreover, I had no perseverance. One of the keys to success in anything you do is persistence. Once you have determined what exactly you want to accomplish, you must take massive action consistently until you succeed.

If you take time to know more about any successful person, you will learn that the majority of them have had more failures than successes. This is because successful people are persistent. The more times they stumble and fall, the more times they stand up and do it again.

People who do not try again will never succeed. Absolutely, definitely and without any doubt, I will change myself and have confidence in myself. I can do it!
