Centers opened to promote community governance
    2018-12-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AFFILIATED with the Management & Control Center of Smart Bao’an, 124 community micro centers were officially opened in Bao’an District on the afternoon of Dec. 14.

The centers aim to achieve interconnected and intelligent governance for the 124 communities in the district.

To this end, the Bao’an District Information Center, the district’s development and reform bureau, finance bureau and Bao’an Construction and Investment Group joined hands with 10 subdistricts and 124 communities to build the micro centers after six months of preparations.

The community micro centers are an important part of modernized governance in communities, according to the news report. The centers enable intelligent patrolling, fire control and command, safety inspection and video conferencing, as well as Party building services.

At the opening ceremony, the Management & Control Center of Smart Bao’an called the 124 micro centers one by one through the video conferencing system to review the construction and operation of each center.

The community micro centers not only open up real-time communication channels between the subdistricts and communities but also provide a working platform to help the community Party committees better serve the public.

Meanwhile, the centers also serve to promote grass-roots governance, real-time disaster investigation, effective management and community-level services. (Zhang Yu)
