Themed park to be built in Lianhua Subdistrict
    2019-01-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE abandoned training yard on the east side of Jingtian East Road, which stands beside Shenzhen Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, will be transformed into a recuperation park themed around sports, health and rehabilitation.

The park will complement the community parks on the west side of Jingtian East Road and provide a brand-new experience for residents living in the neighboring communities, said Tang Fang, deputy secretary of the Party working committee of Lianhua Subdistrict.

Meanwhile, the construction of an underground parking garage is also being mulled to make full use of land resources. The garage will employ a fully automatic mechanical three-dimensional parking system, and the entrance and exit of the garage will be located on the first underground floor, which will effectively alleviate the parking difficulties in the area.

According to Tang, the subdistrict has been striving to create a more livable and civilized environment for residents. For instance, 13 volunteer teams with a total of 365 people have been set up in the subdistrict.

To improve the local environment, the exterior walls along the roads in five communities have been renovated and 210 tree grates and 122 garbage classification facilities have been upgraded.

Moreover, the subdistrict has pushed forward the comprehensive renovation of urban villages and has carried out special actions to rectify irregularities at small stalls, workshops and entertainment venues.(Zhang Yu)
