THE second China-Israel Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Futian), organized by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, Israel Innovation Authority and Futian’s district government, raised its curtain in Futian on Dec. 12, facilitating the cooperation and settlement of excellent projects and teams. The competition consisted of four parts, namely the opening ceremony, one-to-one matching, roadshow pitching event and awards ceremony. A total of 30 projects from the fields of information and communication technology, life sciences and intelligent manufacturing were selected to enter the final round. The event also invited representatives of the 30 selected Israeli projects to match the rich industry resources in Shenzhen, intending to introduce excellent projects and talents to Shenzhen and to inject more dynamics into the international innovation atmosphere of the city. During the roadshow, the 30 projects all introduced themselves and the jury consisting of both Chinese and Israeli professionals posed questions and made comments regarding business model, technical advantage, team qualification and market prospect. One team from each field was awarded for best technological innovation. The competition pays close attention to finding local matches for advanced technologies and startup projects from Israel, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into production in China, in order to facilitate the settlement of advanced technologies and excellent teams.
