HOME to dozens of enterprises in the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry, Bao’an boasts its output of the sector exceeding 20 million yuan (US$2.89 million), accounting for over 60 percent of the city’s total.

Regarding the robot industry, there are over 60 enterprises in Bao’an specializing in the production of robots and related products including industrial robots and industrial robotic arms.

Over 20 of them have an annual production value exceeding 10 million yuan. The production value of several enterprises exceeds 100 million yuan, including Han’s Laser Technology Industry Group Co. and Shenzhen JT Automation Equipment Co.

A total of 71 entrepreneurs were given the title of “Leading Figure” or “Innovative Figure” at an award ceremony held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center recently.

Among the 71 entrepreneurs, seven were granted merit medals for their outstanding contribution, including Gao Yunfeng, chairman of Han’s Laser Technology Industry Group Co. Out of the 71 entrepreneurs, 33 were from Bao’an.

According to statistics, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shenzhen reached 629.34 billion yuan, accounting for 77.8 percent of industrial added value.

In the worldwide equipment manufacturing industrial chain, Shenzhen is home to dozens of or even over 100 benchmarking enterprises in industrial segmentations, whose market shares occupy a leading position in the country.

Currently, there are over 200 Bao’an enterprises in the industrial chain of intelligent manufacturing equipment.
