THE prices of air tickets to hot post-festival travel destinations have plummeted.

Tickets to some tourist cities like Sanya, Xi’an, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Hanghzhou, Nanjing, Xiamen, Harbin and Zhuhai have been sold at half off or even at 80 percent off.

A one-way-trip ticket to Chongqing costs 310 yuan, to Harbin 1,160 yean, and to Xi’an 570 yuan, tickets prices at www.ctrip.com showed.

Tickets to Sanya, a hot tourist destination, were sold at a 70-percent discount Monday. The lowest quoted price was 457 yuan. After the Lantern Festival, the price from Shenzhen to Sanya will be 275 yuan.

For overseas trips, the fares to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Phuket Island and Seoul were sold at discounts of 40 percent off. The fare for a flight to Hanoi on Saturday will be 420 yuan including tax and fees.
