Teenager survives fall from building
    2019-02-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A 15-YEAR-OLD student miraculously survived a fall from the top of an 11-story building in Shiyan, Bao’an District, on Wednesday.

The boy, who was not identified, suffered multiple fractures all over his body, but was ultimately saved from life-threatening danger, the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

Residents living nearby said they heard a loud bang and then saw the student who had fallen from a building lying on the ground with blood all over his face and pieces of his glasses scattered around.

“He hit the external unit of an air-conditioner during the fall and fell onto a motorcycle, which cushioned his fall,” an unidentified witness said.

A video taken by a resident showed a quilt, which had been hung out to dry, falling with the boy and pieces of the shattered motorcycle scattered across the ground.

The boy was taken to Shiyan People’s Hospital by ambulance for emergency treatment and later transferred to Shenzhen No. 2 People’s Hospital for further treatment, the Daily report said.

The boy’s parents said their child accidentally fell from the top of the building while walking for relaxation. (SD News)
