B: No. I’ll bet my bottom dollar that he will be late again.

Note: This idiom means “certain that something will happen.” The speaker is so certain about it that they would hypothetically risk their last dollar betting on it. And certainly you need not refer to an actual bet. For example: I bet my bottom dollar you never ever went to Alaska!
