ZHANG FULIANG, former head of the engineering management department of Shum Yip Land Co. Ltd., was recently prosecuted by Shenzhen People’s Procuratorate for taking bribes, the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday. According to the indictment, from 2011 to 2016, Zhang took advantage of his positions to seek benefits in engineering bidding and the settlement of project funds, accepting bribes totaling 36.77 million yuan (US$5.42 million). Zhang had served as general manager assistant and engineering manager of Shenzhen Kezhigu Investment Co. Ltd., as well as taking up successive posts as the head’s assistant, deputy head and head of the engineering management department of Shum Yip Land Co. Ltd. during the period. (Zhang Yu) |
