Apart from the flower exhibition, the event will also present a string of flower-related cultural activities, including a plant-made costume show for children, a photo competition, video sharing activities on Douyin, a popular social network for short videos, 18 outdoor performances, a live show on flower arrangement by floriculture masters, the Greater Bay Area floriculture competition and the Greater Bay Area forum on the building of a flower city.

On the opening day, the organizer will unveil a new type of crimson Chinese rose, which can bloom for a longer period of time and is capable of surviving diseases and resisting hot and cold temperatures. At present, channels are open for residents to name the flower. Residents can gain access through the Shenzhen Evening News’ WeChat account to participate.

Residents with a ticket for Fairy Lake Botanical Park can enter the show without paying an extra fee. Traffic around the area will be controlled, according to the organizer. For more information, residents can follow the WeChat account, mlszgzh or szbgac.
