深圳中学生被芝加哥大学提前录取 Zhang Xuanyi, a graduating student from Shenzhen International Foundation College (SIFC), has received an early decision (ED) admission from the University of Chicago, a private research university holding the top three position in the national ranking of the United States, and top 10 position in the 2019 World University Ranking of the Times Higher Education magazine. Zhang started taking advanced placement courses at SIFC at Grade 8, during which he built up an impressive student profile through participating in a collection of activities. To deepen understanding and communication between parents and children, he initiated a teenage forum where participants can interact with each other to exchange their views on family relationships. In addition to intramural studying, Zhang dedicates most of his vacations to touring world-renowned universities and taking part in their holiday camps, such as a psychology course at Columbia University, a summer chemistry course at Harvard University and research on Japanese society organized by the Council of International Schools. Students from graduating classes of SIFC were also admitted by University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; Boston University; Case Western Reserve University; and Tulane University, among others, this year.
