Malaysian singer and composer Michael Wong, who has sung and written many popular love songs, will give his “Lonely Planet” concert in Shenzhen this weekend.

Wong began his singing career in a duo with Victor Wong. The pair, named “Wu Yin Liang Pin,” had attained notable success and their albums managed to hit the top notch in both China and Malaysia. After a few splendid and successful years together in the Chinese music scene, during which the pair secured countless awards for their success, the duo split in 2000 and went their own ways as solo singers.

Since then, Michael Wong has released five solo albums, the third one being his breakthrough album, “Fairy Tale.” He has achieved great success in China and Malaysia. He has also helped several other successful singers by composing songs for them, including the famous ballad “Courage” sung by Fish Leong. Friendship is also recursive within his songs. Many people call him “the prince of love songs.” He enjoys success as an actor in Chinese dramas and movies as well.
